The Norloch Ceilidh Band are an experienced Scots dance band. The full 4 member Norloch Ceilidh & Function Band will play a full evening of Ceilidh if required. The normal line up includes 2 Fiddle players, Dance caller, Rhythm Guitar, 14" West African Djembe hand drum & Hi-Hat (miked up provides treble & bass sounds) and 2 male singers

 

Phil and Dave are the vocalists who can provide a range of songs & style (pop, rock, swing [rat pack], rock’n’roll, country, traditional Scottish & Irish folk songs etc.) from the 1950s-2000s by using backing tracks/midi files to provide a full band sound

 

A keyboard player can be included/added for more of a live sound on songs and the line up of the band can vary to accommodate this

 

 

All ceilidh dances can be called & demonstrated where needed

 

 

Reel Good Music Disco with DJ Philip Condie can be booked separately or as part of a package with a live band such as Norloch Ceilidh Wedding & Function Band.  Philip is a most excellent and experienced dancer and knows the best music for dancing

 

Standard band bookings are of 4 hours duration (for instance 7.30pm -11.30pm or
8pm-midnight)

If you want a Trio with 3 band members instead, we will also play a full evening of Ceilidh dances if required

DJ Phil Condie, an experienced Wedding DJ & Norloch's drummer, has a huge collection of CD's to cover all musical tastes & requirements

You can of course bring along along your own CD's on the evening & we'll happily play them for you thus ensuring you get the music you want played

All band & disco equipment arrive at the same time,  normally about 30/45 mins prior to the booking start time, to be set up on stage thus eliminating any problems regarding set up, space required, or if a disco had been booked independently taking up the band space on stage etc
