Welcome to our web site

Please take your time to have look around.

The Norloch Ceilidh Band was formed in the early 1990s.  We were one of the new generation of Scots dance bands to emerge from the folk music scene of Edinburgh at that time

Click on the links at the left for more of Norloch

If you wish to 'cut to the chase' and enquire about a booking then contact Phil Condie who takes bookings and enquiries for the band, email him at:

or

We play with energy and passion and have a 'caller' (Mike Slessor) to show you the dances.  We have played all over Scotland, and also in England and Wales so far...

We are indebted to the late great Alexander Naysmith (1758-1840) for his fine painting (see top right) of the Norloch at the foot of Edinburgh Castle Rock, now the site of Princes Street Gardens;

Andrew Hennessey alias Scottish Andrew for finding our original artwork (also friend, former band member and occasional guest star);

The late Cammie Gaskell for his amazing spirit, fantastic fiddle playing, enthusiastic dance calling and it has to be said...side-splitting double entendres;

Wikipedia and it's associated sister/brother sites;

iTUNES for use of our music (ironic huh?) but thanks anyway :-)

uTube;

..and thanks to all our friends and families!
